Toad-in-the-hole Recipe

Makes: 10 portions. Cooking time: 45 minutes. Oven temperature: 220°C.

Ingredients:

— 1 kg (20) beef sausages
— 2 dl dripping
— 8 dl Yorkshire Pudding Batter
— 6 dl Jus Lié

Method:

(1) Heat the dripping in a shallow roasting dish or tray. Add the sausages and shallow fry until lightly golden on all sides.

(2) Arrange the sausages in the tray and pour in the batter mixture.

(3) Place in the oven to bake until the sausages are cooked and the batter is crisp and golden.

(4) Cut into portion sizes. Neatly arrange on an entrée type dish and serve accompanied by the sauce.
